"I hear the cries, I see the fear.
I feel the hate, I taste the pain.
The ground is stained, an ocean
of red.
The sky is dark and smokey,
the silence all around.
And now the trumpets sound,
the war has come to end.
But look at all the fallen,
what have we accomplished?
And my heart is full of guilt,
all the blood I spilled.
I have sinned, I have killed.
I murdered innocent men,
who were just as I.
Save me your praise,
spare me your lecture.
You've no idea the pain I felt,
all the men who fell at my feet.
I saved my country, I fought bravely.
I lost my friends, I lost myself.
I took loved ones from this world
